Michael Salerno, Managing Partner
Michael has over 20 years experience as a family wealth and investment professional. He co-founded AUA Capital Management in 2013 with Andrew Unanue. Previously, Mike was a managing director, partner and member of the investment and executive committees of QFS Asset Management, a premier global alternative asset manager specializing in quantitative investment strategies. He was a co-founder and CIO of Cenario Capital Management, a firm that specialized in global risk and volatility managed portfolio advisory services for institutions and family offices. He has served as the chief investment officer for the Unanue Family Office. Previously he was the founding managing director and chief investment officer for the predecessor to Select Trust and Asset Management, the family office for the Ortenzio Family (Select Medical Corporation), where he also served as general partner of Select Capital Ventures, a fund focused on providing growth capital to health care oriented companies. Earlier in his career, Mike was the president of M&T Capital, the venture subsidiary of M&T Bank. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Michelle Malloy, JD General Counsel/Director Family Office Services
Michelle is responsible for directing family office services including estate and income tax planning and coordination. She previously was a Tax Director for the Wilmington Family Office and formerly was a Trust Administrator for Wilmington Trust Company. Michelle spent over 10 years in private practice specializing in Estates and Trusts and general corporate law and litigation. She holds a J.D. and an LLM from the Villanova School of Law School and and a B.A. from the Villanova University. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New York.
Michael Hook, JD, Director
Michael has 13 years experience as an attorney involved in complex commercial commercial transactions, real estate and construction law. Prior to joining AUA, Michael worked in private practice as a commercial litigation attorney at a boutique law firm in the Philadelphia area, and as a complex litigation attorney at a large law firm in Arizona. Before attending law school, Michael worked as a business management and information technology consultant for a fortune 500 company. He received his Juris Doctorate with distinction at the University of Arizona College of Law. Michael is admitted to the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Arizona bars.
Johanne Slattery, Director
Johanne is the Director of Operations for AUA where she is responsible for operations including client/partner reporting, account opening and funds transfer. Previously she was the Director of Client Services with Cenario Capital Management for seven years where she was responsible for providing all phases of client and operations support. Previously she held positions with Pennsylvania Pharmaceutical Association and Harrisburg Board of Realtors. A graduate of Marietta College, Johanne holds a degree in Business Management and Marketing.
Nicholas Yeakle, Director
Nicholas is a Director of Investments responsible for analyzing and completing investments. Previously he was an investment and operations analyst with Letort Trust, a boutique trust company. He has served as an account manager with Tellus Brokerage, supporting insurance providers and was a junior associate with Artemis Strategies , a political consulting firm in Washington DC. He has an MS in Finance from the University of Miami and BA in Legal Studies from Florida Gulf Coast University.
Arnold DiLaura, Managing Director
Arnold specializes in investment consulting, particularly in he areas of single stock and portfolio hedging. In previous positions he has served as a portfolio manager, senior trader and head of quantitative research on the QFS-Cenario Volatility Fund; on the proprietary trading desk of Dresdner Kleinwort, Tokyo, Japan; at Millennium Partners and Volaris (later CSFB-Volaris). Previously he held positions in defense and national security areas, where he specialized in applying both quantitative and non-quantitative analysis to defense issues. He has an MA in International Economics and Strategic Studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University Pennsylvania.
